Daily Delight - Lively Piazza Grande for Bischofszell Nahrungsmittel AG at igeho 2019

"Daily indulgence with Bischofszell Culinarium and JOWA Professional" - this was the guiding principle for the appearance of two Migros Group companies at Igeho 2019, the international trade fair for the hotel, catering, take-away and care industries, which takes place every two years in Basel. We at Steinmetz were able to accompany this trade fair appearance from start to finish, from planning and creation to conception and implementation as well as administrative handling to the construction and dismantling of the trade fair stand.

Lively gastronomic ambience
As world designers, we were able to create a stand on a generous 200 square meters that showcased the variety of extremely tasty ready meals and semi-finished products from Bischofszell Culinarium and the delicious baked goods from JOWA. As a temptation accomplice, we also endeavored to encourage visitors to taste pasta and pastries. To achieve this, it was important to create a cozy and lively atmosphere on the stand while still offering enough privacy for customer conversations. Our magic formula for this was a kind of "Piazza Grande", with a lively gastro ambience and wide entrances, so that guests would be attracted by the hustle and bustle on the square and the smell of bread and pasta. The pasta kitchen and the bakery were each positioned at the edge of the stand to provide enough space on the inside for the "village square".

Food along the timeline
But how do you present the incredibly diverse range of products offered by Bischofszell Culinarium and JOWA? From croissants and jams to potato and meat dishes with a wide variety of vegetables or salads to sweet pastries and mini patisseries? This is where we come in with the guiding principle of "Daily indulgence" - because we inevitably associate this with the time of day. After all, Bischofszell Culinarium and JOWA simply have a catering offer for every hour - be it a quick breakfast, a small snack, an extended lunch or an indulgent aperitif followed by a delicious dinner. To make it clear to visitors right away what it was all about, we wrapped the entire stand in a timeline, along which the various dishes were presented in attractive pictures.

World of images for the senses
Pictures were another important element at the stand. Large-format, high-quality color photographs showed appealingly staged food that made your mouth water - a treat for the palate and the eye. As a style consultant, we fully relied on these images when it came to color. To ensure that they were shown to their best advantage and did not compete with them, the rest of the stand was kept discreetly in black and white and ash wood in the style of a gallery.

Stylish visitor magnet and practical in management
The stand concept was a complete success! Many visitors stopped to look at the timeline and the tempting food photos - after all, you eat with your eyes. The piazza quickly filled up with curious gourmets who took plenty of time for tasting and personal discussions. For the stand operators Bischofszell and JOWA, the space was also pleasant to manage. The pasta kitchen, bakery and back room were practically arranged and well equipped.

With this trade fair appearance, Steinmetz once again created an extremely successful fusion of aesthetics and functionality with great sensitivity and commitment. It is precisely this passion that we apply to every single trade fair project that we implement for our customers. We love to create distinctive worlds for encounters, true to our slogan "Presentation with Passion."
